Abstract
Peter Hofmann:
Liturgical Vestments for the “Body” of Liturgy
The Contribution of Joseph Braun SJ (1857-1947) for Liturgical Science und its Importance for Systematic Theology
(FKTh 2013-2, p. 81–93)
The liturgy scientist Joseph Brown SJ (1857-1947) ruled in his lifetime, at least the German-speaking discourse with its exhaustive encyclopaedic works, which are still regarded in the art history as standard works. He starts from a dogmatic concept of liturgy in the context of neoscholasticism, restricting the current and necessary reception of his impressive research. This gap of reception must be closed.
