Abstract

Josef Kreiml:
“At the End of these Days God Spoke to us through his Son” (Hebr 1:2)
(FKTh 2013-2, p. 126–135)

Revelation is the self-disclosure of God in the course of history. God makes himself known in the word of Christ in an absolute eternal form. Revelation was available prior to the Bible and it is manifested in the Bible. It must be stated, that faith is grounded in a personal encounter with the living God. The final fulfillment of revelation in Jesus Christ and its transmission (respectively the developement of the doctrine of the faith) are two different matters. John of the Cross pointed out, that the word of Christ will penetrate the heart of people on the arrival of the holy spirit.
