Andreas Hirsch:
The concept of the systematic teaching of essence and properties within the dogmatics of Johann Auer and Leo Scheffczyk
(FKTh 2015-2, p. 118–133)
Since the II. Vatican Council, the teachings regarding the being and the properties of God were increasingly neglected in German catholic textbooks on God and the Trinity. Johann Auer and Leo Scheffczyk are an exception. They describe coherently and in detail, both from a biblical and from a systematic point of view, how God himself is and how God acts in the history of salvation.
