Abstract

Helmut Müller:
Evangelisation in the past and today
The other source of the evangelical Good News in contrast with the secularisation of christianity
(FKTh 2015-2, p. 142–153)

Starting in the middle of the 19th century Father Johann Baptist Kraus from Koblenz brought the message of the gospel effectively to the hearts and minds of his fellow men. What is more he succeeded in entrenching the message even above that and his charism took action for one century-long. Already in those days it was part of his concern to express the message of From-somewhere-else against early secularisation in the Here and Now as a soteriological occurrence, protological – to be understood in nature as creation. Evangelisation today has to deal with a much bigger level of secularisation and psychological strain than back at Kraus´ time. A subliminal longing for a entire different still exists. A naturalphilosophical and creation theological comprehension of the conception of the Arenberger grounds is supposed to show, how significant nature and natural materials can serve the proclamation of the gospel.
