Saint Gertrude of Helfta remains nearly unnoticed in theological discussions of the presence. Nevertheless her treasure of spiritual experiences is suited to contribute clearness of some questions like the „inhabitatio Christi“ in blessed souls or the christological „perichoresis“. The risen Lord stays indigent like a beggar, as the mystery of the Holy Cross stays present. Gertrude is always attached to the Church in her prayers and sufferings and underlines the importance of supplementation in view of the honour of our Lord and of Mary. The spiritual heritage of St. Gertrude is appropriate to renew the devotion of the Sacred Heart today.
