There is a wealth of information about the Shroud of Turin that requires a multidisciplinary approach. The Shroud can be assigned to the historical environment of Jesus and contains a chain of circumstantial evidence that leads to Jesus of Nazareth. It is not only a testimony to the suffering of Jesus and to the reliability of the Gospels, but also points to the event of the resurrection and the divine sonship of Jesus.
